At Sim Family Clinic in northwest Houston, Texas, we accept most major insurance plans. We are happy to file a claim with your insurance company on your behalf after your visit with one of our primary care doctors.
Knowing What’s Covered & What’s Not
We recommend you contact your insurance company to find out if our doctors are considered in-network for your particular plan.
We also recommend you thoroughly understand the type of coverage your plan allows, including whether pre-existing conditions are excluded from coverage for a certain period of time. At times, you may assume you are covered for a particular healthcare service only to find out that’s not the case. For example, under some plans, pre-existing conditions may not be covered by insurance for a up a year – or longer.
It is our goal at Sim Family Clinic to provide the healthcare you need in a warm and friendly environment – without any insurance surprises or snafus. We strongly suggest you call your insurance company about what your plan covers prior to your visit with us.
Patient Responsibility
If you are uninsured, you are responsible for paying the entire charge at the time of service. At Sim Family Clinic, we require a cash deposit when you arrive and will require payment for any additional charges or services rendered. Only established patients may pay by check.
If you are insured and your plan requires a co-payment, co-insurance, and/or a deductible, you will need to pay it at the time of your visit. Please have your insurance card with you when you arrive at our office and keep us apprised of any changes to your insurance information.
For your convenience, we accept cash, Visa, and MasterCard. If you are an established patient with an account in good standing, we also accept checks. Established patients are those who have been seen by our doctors at least three times.
