For the convenience of Sim Family Clinic patients, we offer a number of on-site diagnostic tests and procedures to help assess your current health. These tests can help confirm a particular diagnosis or help rule out certain problems. Which test your doctor performs will depend on your concerns, symptoms, health history, and risk factors.

On-site health assessments are just another way Sim Family Clinic delivers complete family care for everyone from children and teens to adults and seniors. These diagnostic assessments include:

EKG

An electrocardiogram (EKG or ECG) measures the electrical activity of your heart. It can identify certain types of heart problems such as heart attacks, abnormal heart rhythm or irregular heartbeats, and heart failure.

If your doctor recommends an EKG, sensors will be placed on your torso, and you will be asked to lay still on a bed or table while your heart activity is recorded on an attached device. The results are displayed in graph form. The entire process is painless, noninvasive, and takes less than 20 minutes to complete.

Urinalysis

Urine tests may be used to identify early signs of illness or disease. The providers at Sim Family Clinic will run general urinalysis tests, although we can also use urinalysis to determine pregnancy as well. We don't perform any drug or alcohol screening tests in-house, although we could order those types of urinalysis tests if necessary.
